Expansion Of Residential Services Offers Hope To Local Veterans
Hope for Tomorrow, Inc. gratefully announces a grant award of $19,250, from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, for the acquisition and installation of drywall on the first and second floors of a new veterans facility, located at 469 N. Lake Street, in Aurora.
Once renovations are completed, this home will provide safe, structured, substance-free, and clinically-guided residential services to fifteen U.S. veterans suffering from war-borne illnesses (e.g., post-traumatic stress and substance use disorders).
Jeff Gilbert, founding president of Hope for Tomorrow states, “The community and governmental support that local organizations, such as Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, Rebuilding Together Aurora, Grace United Methodist Church, Local IBEW 461, Home Depot, Sears, United Way, 708 Inc., and the City of Aurora, have shown on this project clearly demonstrates that Aurora is a city “Second to None.”
On behalf of our veterans, the board of directors, and staff, Hope for Tomorrow says, “thank you” to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.
