Mary J. Gehring
(1915-2010)

Mary Jeanette (Roberts) Gehring, (94), died at 8pm on May 3, 2010 in Spring Valley, CA. Mary was born November 13, 1915 in Anna, IL.

She married Robert Warren Gehring on July 22, 1939 in Urbana-Champagne. He preceded her in death December 13, 1978, in Aurora, IL.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and Bethel Community Baptist Church, both in Aurora, IL. She was active in many clubs and activities over the years. She has lived the last several years at Mt. Miguel Covenant Village in Spring Valley, CA, where she enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and many other activities.

Mary was survived by her children, Robert Wayne (Alexandra) Gehring of Aloha, OR, and Mary Helen "Terrie" (John) Pieratt of Jonesboro, IL. Her grandchildren; Mireya (Willy) Turner of Kelseyville, CA; David (Leslie) Gehring of San Francisco, CA; Soraya (Andreas) Gehring of Beaverton, OR; James (Andrea) Arendt of Aurora, IL and Alice (fiancé Chris Paneitz) Arendt of Houston, TX. Her great grandchildren, Soraya, Hayden and Gideon Turner from Kelseyville, CA; Joshua and Elizabeth Gehring from San Francisco, CA; Zoe Mia Gehring of Beaverton, OR; and Patrick, Jackson and Johnathan Arendt from Aurora, IL.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sisters Velma Roberts, Helen Ryan and brother-in-law Julian Ryan all of Wood River, IL.

In honor of her wishes, Mary is to be cremated. Graveside services will be at a later date with Joe Dunham officiating. Burial will be at Spring Lake Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
