RiverEdge Park
The RiverEdge Park Fund was created to support improvements and enhancements for the new RiverEdge Park.
The park will become a regional attraction located in the heart of Aurora. It will connect neighborhoods on both sides of the river, acting as a catalyst to unify the community in a dynamic public gathering place.
The park will project a sophisticated and energetic image on the banks of the Fox River. Using an innovative design, the project will promote redevelopment, recreation and resource restoration.
Construction of the park will begin in 2009. It is anticipated that Aurora’s summer concert festival - Downtown Alive! - will move to the site for its 2010 season.
