Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Fund
(Established 2000)
The Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) created a scholarship fund in 2000 for the ongoing professional development of members affiliated with the Association.
An initial contribution to the fund was made by Henry Tonigan of Barrington, an honorary member of the IACCE. A second contribution was received from William and Betty Jo Browning of Peoria as a memorial to their daughter, Jeannette.
Jeannette (1977-1994) attended Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois. She was involved in swimming, Young Life (a non-denominational Christian youth group), and TEC (Teens Encounter Christ).
She had just begun showing an interest in art and had hoped to become an architectural designer. Like her father, she had a real love for people and would be proud to know that others are benefiting in her memory.
Mr. Browning is a past president of the IACCE.
