The Brian A. Harty Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to provide financial assistance to students attending Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine for the purpose of becoming clinical child psychologists.
Brian Harty (1975-2002) was a 1997 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He had worked in radio production for stations in Chicago and Raleigh.
Brian was an avid runner, twice completing the Chicago Marathon. He also was an amateur oil painter and a fan of many different genres of music.
