Since its inception, several million dollars have been awarded in Mr. Dunham’s name to numerous charitable projects. In addition, a scholarship fund has been created within the Community Foundation to reflect John Dunham’s strong belief in the importance of education and entrepreneurship. The Dunham Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students residing within the Dunham Fund service area. Students also must be graduating from a high school within that area. The Dunham Fund service area is bounded on the north by Route 38, on the south by Route 34, on the east by Route 59 and on the west by Route 47. Students may apply for the Dunham Scholarship through the Community Foundation Scholarship Program. Applications for the Scholarship Program will be available on the Community Foundation website (see Scholarship Program on the main menu) each December and January.
