Former Scholar Gives Back

Anna Ma

Anna Ma, a 2009 graduate of the University of Illinois, received a three-year scholarship from the Community Foundation.

Anna received her degree in psychology and is now a marketing and community outreach representative with the Illinois Student Assistance Corps.

Her goal is to attend graduate school and pursue a course of study in the field of academic counseling.

“The Community Foundation’s assistance has meant so much to my family and me. I am truly grateful for my college experience, the multitude of opportunities it has provided for my future, and most of all, the people who have helped me along the way,” Anna commented.

To express her appreciation, Anna has chosen to contribute to the Community Foundation Alumni Scholarship Endowment Fund.

Supported by former scholarship recipients, the fund has reached $50,000. We now are trying to increase value of this endowment to assist more students.
