$2,600 Grant Helps Mentoring Program at Illinois Youth Center

Kairo’s Torch- IYC- St. Charles wishes to thank the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for the generous support of their volunteer activities in the Youth Home. The recent grant given to the Mentoring Program will fund the purchase of audio visual equipment and website development. The equipment will be used when doing weekend retreats with the teenage boys living in the youth home and when doing presentations for funding and volunteer recruitment.

Presence McAuley Manor Receives Grant from Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley

Presence McAuley Manor, located at 400 West Sullivan Road, Aurora recently received a grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. The skilled nursing and rehabilitation center will use the grant money, which totals $17,000, to purchase new therapy equipment, including a Metron Plus Deluxe Hi-Lo Platform, weight rack, heating unit and a Rickshaw Exerciser and Weights. The grant money will also cover the cost of updated furnishings for the therapy, activity and visiting rooms as well as a touch-screen computer and printer for resident activities.

Rebuilding Together Aurora (RTA) is pleased to announce its continued ability to create a healthy community thanks to a grant from The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. Through this grant, RTA will be able to purchase equipment allowing the organization to remove lead paint hazards in Aurora homes more efficiently and effectively, reducing the danger of lead poisoning.

The Community Career Center in Naperville has received a capital improvement grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. The grant, in the amount $4,055.00, is designated for a projector and screen, 48 conference room chairs, one computer and five workstation chairs. The Community Career Center recently moved to their new location in Naperville.
