Helping donors is our mission. Dick Schindel, donor and fund advisor at the Community Foundation, shares his thoughts on the Community Foundation being the place to go for those citizens who want to make a difference in the community. The Community Foundation helps to connect donors to causes that they are passionate about. We can also identify where the greatest needs are in the local community. By starting a fund at the Foundation, you are investing in people, and the return can be great.

Charitable Giving: Designated Endowment Funds are ideal for individuals or families who seek to create a legacy of financial support for causes or nonprofit organizations that matter to them.
How it works:
Identify an organization that you wish to help.
A designated fund is established.
Donor receives tax benefits.
A grant will be issued annually to the designated non-profit organization.
The Community Foundation handles all the administrative details, including managing specific qualifications that you may establish for grant distributions. If the organization you select ceases to exist or changes its mission, the fund can be redirected so that it continues to address your charitable intent.
